Questions:

Does it hurt?

The pain is pretty contained to the moment of the deleation of hair. once it is out the pain is gone. No after soreness, unless ur technition has poor technique it could be very painful.

how long does it take?

A brazilian takes me under 10 minutes depending how full the hair is, from the time you walk in and leave 15 min.

What is the best wax to use?

The best wax to use hands down is hard wax , but if used wrong could also be a night mare. if you have had a brazilian done with hard wax and it was horrible .... the technician had poor technique.

Why would you use powder?

I would NOT use powder, I beleive that powder does nothing but clog pores and if you are prown to ingrown's then this could create more problems for the client. It does take some pain away but generally the technique is key no matter what we put on.

Why would you use lotion?

Lotion is the best thing to use on clients to help limit the pain, even if you have bad technique you can still come out not to bad. No matter what you wax from eyebrows to legs, any body part you would wax should be lotioned first before service. The people that find waxing the worst are the ones with the dryest skin. when the skin is dry is absorbs the wax which causes an agressive pull and if your technique is not up to par this can have even worse results.

why does you face or eyebrows turn red?

The reason your skin turn red is poor technique, there is no reason your skin should hurt or be red at all. the reason mostly is poor technique and other factors like not enough pressure, wax to hot, or to cold, or all the above so imagine if you have someone that has all the above. the client would be so red.

What is better, Waxing or Lazer?

Some believe lazer is better as they say it is permanent removal, over the years I found that you spent a lump sum upfront and ended up not being hairless. this is a long process as you have to shave before each treatment and takes over a year to rid most of hair. Lazer hair removal is 75 to 80 % reduction.  The side effects of the lazers entering your body, changing skin pygment and other health risks that can occure, and the area of the brazilian and girly parts could be effected.

Waxing is the safer and quicker method with no side effect. as long as your technician is really good. smooth soft and affordable results.

How do I know if I have a good waxer or not?

Your technician should have some sort of training. Ask what type of waxes they use truly if they dont use hard wax for the brazilian, in my opinion they do not know how to use it properly. Things you need to look for besides all the odvious of cleanliness and professionalism . You want to make sure they are pulling the strips or wax parrelle to the skin basically there hands should stay on the skin untill the stip is removed so there is no lifting up of the strip as that would create more pain. Also keeping the skin tight and applying the wax so thin you can barely see it , unless hard wax needs to be way thicker. you also want to make sure they do a consult with you.

If you are on certain meds this can effect the out come like accutain, retinal A products and so forth, any products that could thin the skin. I know people in the industry that have been doing waxing just as long as I have and they are horrible. So sometime the experience is not enough... it doesnt have to be so bad.

Can I have sex after?

Yes, you can continue your daily routine just no hot tubs or tanning beds for 24 hours to prevent bactreia from entering the exfoiliated area.

Will I get ingrown hair?

Some people are more prone to ingrown hair.... if you get them now they should lesson after a few sessions. and if you never get them you may get one here and there.

Does waxing make your hair come back darker?

No, waxing does the opposite, the hair becomes finer thiner and sparatic over time.

If the hair remains the same it is beause the hair is breaking due to poor technique. So like cutting grass it come back thicker , unless you are getting it out by the root it will not get thinner. If you feel stubble after a wax then it is breaking for a reason ... poor technique or very course it might take a few treatments to get it out, but a good technician would tell you your waisting your money and recomend lazer a few times the resume back to waxing. depending how dark and thick the hair is to start with. In my 30 years I sent 4 people to lazer for a few treatments before they started waxing again.
